In conversations with a couple of politicians, both Liberal and Conservative, I have heard the expression: “I am on the fence.”

Let’s be clear, there is no fence

This is not a question of balance between the economy and the environment. This is an issue of common sense.

The government should not secretly delist and sell important, publicly owned coastal lands that are home to a globally rare ecosystem, pristine heathlands that are listed in a public policy document for protection, that are a habitat for endangered species, that will be destroyed by the proposed development of three golf courses, that have a 45-year history of public consultation in their protection.

There is no fence!

Stop the sale. Save Owl’s Head Provincial Park.
