While on a drive along Hwy. 7 on the Eastern Shore several days ago, I lost count of how many signs were posted on homeowners’ properties, reading: “Owls Head welcomes the golf course.” This development is obviously something the people who live in that area want to see happen.
The Eastern Shore has been a well-kept secret — it is home to natural beauty and friendly people — and I think it is time that we shared some of this in a showcase for the world to see, by allowing this small portion of its geography to be developed.
There are numerous attractions for residents of metro and international visitors west of Halifax; we’d like a chance to capitalize on some of this activity.
