This reversal by the developer in the face of overwhelming public opposition presents us with the opportunity to realize a vision for the Eastern Shore as a globally significant ecotourism destination.

We have said from the beginning that the Owls Head Park property is an integral, important, natural environment park component of the Eastern Shore Seaside Park System. The developer’s withdrawal is a win for the public of Nova Scotia. Let’s collaborate with this new government and invest in public park infrastructure for the Eastern Shore from Dartmouth to Canso.

Public investment that will benefit all Nova Scotians, local entrepreneurs, and visitors.

Let’s create a multifaceted, signature, quality of life project that will support our record growth in new residents. Let’s include Owls Head Provincial Park in that plan because now we can.
